A half-track army truck. That was my first drawing at age three and a half. I’ve been doing some kind of creative work since I was a child: Painting, drawing, carving wood, modeling clay.
As an adult, I’ve studied with local artists including Soussille Hogan, Deanne McMillian, and Barbara Stoll and have taken classes in life drawing, acrylic/oil and watercolor painting and bronze casting at Johnson County Community College. I’ve also worked in and studied wood carving and pottery, both on the wheel and clay sculpture.
My work has been shown at art fairs and through ArtsKC. I’ve sold work and won awards including first places and purchase awards.
